About the event
The presenter will discuss the effects of site mismanagement on water quality, with a focus on flooding, along with the related environmental and social impacts. Contributing factors such as local population growth, shifting weather patterns, and aging infrastructure will be explored as key drivers of water impairment. The presentation will include case studies highlighting IDEM’s Water Quality Standards and erosion control practices utilized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to provide insight into emerging trends and future solutions. The session will conclude with a focus on sustainable strategies, showcasing five manufacturers in the stormwater industry who are leading the way in developing innovative, environmentally responsible solutions.
