About the event

Join us for our first 2026 Regional Spotlight where we will be taking a trip to the sunny State of Florida to the Indian River Lagoon to chat with the Marine Resources Council team.  The Marine Resources Council works to protect and restore the Indian River Lagoon of East Central Florida through stormwater education and advocacy. Join the MRC Team to learn about their Low Impact Living initiative, which builds on Low Impact Development principles to support watershed-friendly living on all scales: individual, family, community, and government. They will share insights on how Low Impact Living strategies can combat stormwater runoff, reduce pollution, and restore natural hydrology. They will also take you on a tour featuring native plants, stormwater pond management, and shoreline restoration projects that can be implemented at your home, business, or city park.
