About the event
Passive flocculant treatment uses environmentally friendly polymer flocculants to improve stormwater clarity and reduce turbidity where conventional BMPs alone may be insufficient. This workshop will review recent passive treatment projects implemented in sensitive receiving environments ranging from fish bearing streams along the Pacific Coast, to tributaries to Lake Superior, to protected wetlands in Central Florida, each with unique water quality challenges and regulatory requirements. Attendees will gain practical insight into treatment planning, flocculant selection, monitoring, system design, and how passive treatment systems can be adapted to improve water quality compliance under challenging field conditions.
