September 2024 marks one year of Passive Treatment and its inclusion in the 2022 California Construction Stormwater General Permit. This newly accepted technology provides versatile possibilities and solutions for water quality challenges. Despite numerous benefits, passive treatment use in CA still faces hurdles of most new technologies, including proper training, implementation, and use. This workshop will discuss the most common challenges and questions surrounding passive treatment including how to use it, rules and regulations, passive treatment plans, what training is needed and where to get it. Passive treatment is a powerful tool and it's time to add it to the toolbox.
