About the event
Stormwater management is an essential concern with the continual increase of impervious surfaces and urbanization. The effects of erosion and pollutants found in stormwater directly impact the quality of water and water supplies. The use of Low Impact Development (LID)-based water management strategies, such as rain gardens and utilizing native plants within residential settings, helps to protect and improve water quality. The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service Carolina Clear Program addresses this topic through educational outreach, including on-site visits, webinars, workshops, hybrid courses, and both print & online resources to raise awareness of actions and behaviors to help protect and manage water quantity and quality.
