About the event
The regulation of stormwater has its roots in the founding of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the early days of the Clean Water Act. This session will trace that history, showing how evolving policy led to today’s 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP), which becomes fully applicable to non-industrial development projects in California on September 1, 2025. We will examine key compliance requirements with a focus on Qualified Precipitation Events (QPEs), and discuss resources that can help simplify routine tracking and prediction tasks, enabling the stormwater community to focus on effective site management.
