Erosion control is more than selecting a product—it's selecting the right solution for the site. This presentation introduces the Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) and explores the specifications, testing standards, and best practices that support effective erosion control. Participants will learn the proper applications of ECTC-approved products, including erosion control blankets, turf reinforcement mats, hydraulic erosion control products, and other products, with an emphasis on how these technologies reduce soil loss, establish vegetation, and provide long-term slope and channel protection. Through real-world applications and practical installation guidance, attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to select and implement erosion control solutions that maximize performance and project success.
