The presenter will explore both municipal and construction site inspection requirements and their combined impact on local waterways. The presentation will include case studies examining impaired waterways and 303(d) listings, highlighting the unique characteristics and challenges of these areas. In addition, the session will introduce new regulatory compliance concepts designed to promote effective collaboration between constructors and regulators. While fines and stop-work orders can be effective enforcement tools, the presenter will also discuss alternative strategies that support water quality standards without unnecessarily delaying construction progress.
