The changes from the 2009 CGP to the 2022 version put more emphasis on the prediction of Qualified Precipitation Events (QPEs). Manual determination of upcoming events from National Weather Service (NWS) data can be tedious. Here we introduce an on-line utility now available to the community to automate QPE predictions to aid in scheduling the required inspections. We will review the steps to QPE predictions under the guidance provided by the State Water Board and highlight our approach to compliance.
